Heath Elliott Heath has more than 20 years of coaching experience in the Columbus area, with 12 of those years as a head tennis professional. Heath is a USPTA certified teaching professional and has held head tennis pro positions at Brookside Country Club and the Racquet Club of Columbus. Heath has worked with players of all ages and abilities and has helped develop several Division I college tennis players. He is currently the General Manager and part owner of the Players Club. Scott Welsh Scott has been working with top-level juniors for more than 15 years, producing 70+ State Tournament qualifiers, final-four qualifiers 35 times, 17 finalists & 11 State Titles. Mike Meyers Mike has been teaching tennis to juniors and adults for more than 16 years, holding managerial positions at clubs in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio. Mike played college tennis and has since earned several District, State & Sectional titles at the USTA 4.5 & 5.0 levels. He is also the Director of our Junior Excellence 3 program. Cathy Ford Cathy is a lifelong tennis player and professional. She is a gradate of Ohio Wesleyan where she was team captain and team MVP. She went on to play professionally on the Virginia Slims Satellite Tour. She enjoys working with daytime lady hitters as well as coaching their USTA teams. |

Laura Fivecoat Laura graduated from Marquette University, where she played on the women’s varsity tennis team for 4 years and was team captain. Laura has been teaching tennis and paddle tennis for more than 16 years, including positions as a Director of Tennis, Director of Paddle Tennis, high school coach, and USTA Area Training Center Coordinator. While living in the Chicago area, Laura was Director of Tennis at The Ivanhoe Club and Director of Paddle Tennis at Mid-Town Tennis Club and Lakeshore Athletic Club. Barbara Stevenson Barbara has more than 20 years of coaching experience in the Columbus Area and has served as a coach for adults and juniors of all ages and abilities. During her career she has served as the head varsity boys and girls tennis coach at Centennial High School and has held staff teaching positions at Tower Tennis, the Players Club, and Wickertree Tennis Club. Wayne Wookey Wayne played varsity tennis for Marshall University and has coached tennis teams at Walnut Ridge High School, Jones Middle School, The Wellington School and Upper Arlington High School. His Upper Arlington boys' team won the OCTA State Team Championship in 1987 and his girls' team won the Championship in 1996. Wayne is a USPTA certified professional and has held head tennis pro positions at Guyan Country Club Brookside Country Club, The Swim and Racquet Club, Northam Park Tennis, and Scioto Country Club. Emily Diaz Emily played NCAA Division 1 tennis at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She played number 1 singles and number 1 doubles for the Jaguars. Emily was a lead instructor for the National Junior Tennis League of Indianapolis. Emily coordinated summer lessons, community activities, after school programs, and winter programs, instructing children of all levels in the sport of tennis, life skills, and problem solving. Marcus Humble Marcus is a certified USPTA teaching professional and has been teaching in the Columbus area for nearly 20 years. He is currently the Director of Tennis at The Country Club of Muirfield Village. Marcus was a member of The Player's Club 5.5 national team in 2005 and 2006. Denny English Denny has been teaching at The Players' Club since 1997. He is also the Director of Racquets at Scioto Country Club. Denny attended Ball State University were he played number 1 singles and doubles from 1994-1196. Denny was a national amateur winner in singles and doubles in 1994. Shaun Stamps Shaun has taught tennis professionally for more than 20 years in the Columbus area., working wth students of varying ages and abilities. Shaun is currently the girls head coach at Upper Arlington High School. During his coaching tenure at Upper Arlington, he directed his team to three OHSAA state girls high school team championships. Rob Postma Rob is the Director and Head Professional at Brookside GCC. He played college tennis at Wittenberg University where in his four years he helped lead the Tigers to their highest national ranking. During his senior year Rob and his doubles partner worked their way to #30 in the country and in singles he finished the year with a school record highest singles winning percentage going 16-2 on the year. Rob is currently the Head Men’s Coach at Capital University and the Head Girls Coach at The Wellington School. Rob works with our ladies and junior programs. |

Marla Zitelman Marla was an ITA national doubles champion in 2005 and All-American for Gustavus Adolphus College where she played NCAA Division III tennis. She was a four-time All-Conference player for the MIAC, where she contributed to four MIAC conference team titles and four NCAA Division III national team quarterfinal appearances. In addition to teaching here, she currently is the Wellington girl’s high school head tennis coach, and the assistant teaching professional at Brookside Country Club. She has been coaching since 2003, prior experience from the Country Club of Muirfield Village, St. Brigid of Kildare girl’s middle school coach, Carlson Tennis Camps, and St. Paul Academy Summer Tennis Program. |

Patrick Hamning Patrick graduated from Youngstown State University where he played Division 1 tennis in both singles and doubles. In high school, Patrick won the 2007 Ohio state championship in doubles while playing for Middletown High School. As a junior, he was ranked in the top 50 in Midwest region singles. Patrick has extensive experience working with juniors, spending a summer traveling to several summer camps around New York state teaching children between the ages of 7-16. |
