Heath Elliott

Heath has more than 20 years of coaching experience in the Columbus area, with 12 of those years as a head tennis professional.  Heath is a USPTA certified teaching professional and has held head tennis pro positions at Brookside Country Club and the Racquet Club of Columbus.   Heath has worked with players of all ages and abilities and has helped develop several Division I college tennis players.   He is currently the General Manager and part owner of the Players Club.  Email Heath at:

Keith Haigh Photo

Keith Haigh

Keith Haigh comes to the Players Club with 22 years coaching experience and is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association at the Professional 1 Level.  His training has produced 13 nationally ranked players who have all played Division I college tennis. Prior to his teaching career, Keith played and trained at the world famous Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy and played on the Fisher European Tour.  Email Keith at:

Mike Meyers

Mike has been teaching tennis to juniors and adults for more than 16 years, holding managerial positions at clubs in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio. Mike played college tennis and has since earned several District, State & Sectional titles at the USTA 4.5 & 5.0 levels. He is also the Director of our Junior Excellence 3 program. Email Mike at:

Cathy Cramer

Cathy is a lifelong tennis player and professional. She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan where she was team captain and team MVP. She went on to play professionally on the Virginia Slims Satellite Tour. She enjoys working with daytime lady hitters as well as coaching their USTA teams.

Laura Fiecoat Tennis Professional

Laura Fivecoat

Laura graduated from Marquette University, where she played on the women’s varsity tennis team for 4 years and was team captain.  Laura has been teaching tennis and paddle tennis for more than 16 years, including positions as a Director of Tennis, Director of Paddle Tennis, high school coach, and USTA Area Training Center Coordinator.  While living in the Chicago area, Laura was Director of Tennis at The Ivanhoe Club and Director of Paddle Tennis at Mid-Town Tennis Club and Lakeshore Athletic Club.  She is a USPTA certified teaching professional and currently is the Director of Tennis at Tartan Fields Golf Club.  Email Laura at:

Barbara Stevenson Tennis Professional

Barbara Stevenson

Barbara has more than 20 years of coaching experience in the Columbus Area and has served as a coach for adults and juniors of all ages and abilities.  During her career she has served as the head varsity boys and girls tennis coach at Centennial High School and has held staff teaching positions at Tower Tennis, the Players Club, and Wickertree Tennis Club.  Barbara has a special passion for teaching young children the game of tennis.  Email Barbara at:

Emily Diaz Photo

Emily Diaz

Emily played NCAA Division 1 tennis at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She played number 1 singles and number 1 doubles for the Jaguars. Emily was a lead instructor for the National Junior Tennis League of Indianapolis. Emily coordinated summer lessons, community activities, after school programs, and winter programs, instructing children of all levels in the sport of tennis, life skills, and problem solving. Emily moved to the Columbus area in July 2012 and has been instructing at the Players Club and the Scioto Country Club. Emily was also the middle and high school coah at The Wellington School. Denny English

Denny has been teaching at The Players' Club since 1997. He is also the Director of Racquets at Scioto Country Club. Denny attended Ball State University were he played number 1 singles and doubles from 1994-1196. Denny was a national amateur winner in singles and doubles in 1994. He was also ranked as high as #80 nationally in singles and #11 natiionally in doubles. Email Denny at:


Shaun Stamps

Shaun has taught tennis professionally for more than 20 years in the Columbus area., working wth students of varying ages and abilities. Shaun is currently the girls head coach at Upper Arlington High School. During his coaching tenure at Upper Arlington, he directed his team to three OHSAA state girls high school team championships. Jamie Marksberry Photo

Jamie Marksberry

Jamie is originally from the Northern Kentucky area where he attended Pendleton County High School. Jamie started playing USTA tournaments at age 15 and USTA leagues at age 18. Some of his tennis accomplishments include Bluegrass State Games Champion in singles and doubles as well as several USTA District, State, and Sectional titles at the 4.5 and 5.0 levels. Since Jamie started as an instructor The Players Club, he has worked with all skill levels and age groups.

Doug Schoenly

Doug has been teaching tennis for over 17 years. He played college tennis at Penn State University, where he later became the Assistant Men's Tennis coach for four years. Doug helped coach two teams to the NCAA tournament. He then became the Head Tennis Professional at the Penn State Tennis Center for 6 years. Doug and his family then moved to Cincinnati where Doug became the Director of Tennis at The Queen City Racquet and Fitness Club for 6 years. Doug is a USPTA certified teaching professional who works with players of all ages and abilities.

Mike Haddow

Mike Haddow has been a teaching pro in Columbus, Ohio for the past 30 years. Currently, he is the head pro at Northam Park Tennis where he has been for the past 18 years. Prior, Mike has been the head pro at the Worthington Hills Country Club and has taught at Olympic Indoors, Swim & Racquet, Muirfield, and the Scioto Country Club. He enjoys working with ladies’ doubles, beginning juniors, and our senior community. When Mike is not teaching tennis, he is the Special Olympics tennis coach for Upper Arlington.

John Gardner

John Gardner has over 10 years of coaching experience in the Columbus, OH and Holland, MI areas. He has developed players of all ages and abilities including D1 players and State Champions.

Ryan Roberts

Ryan has been a Teaching Professional in the Columbus market for more than ten years. Ryan earned an Athletic training degree from The Otterbein university where he played on the tennis team and received four varsity letters and the title of Captain. Having experience being the assistant coach of both the men’s and women’s teams at Otterbein and being a Coach for the Buddy Up for Down Syndrome, he works well with players of all ages and Abilities. As the head pro of tennis at Corazon Spa & Fitness Club, Ryan was responsible for managing six outdoor clay courts, eight adult GCTA teams and a respectful junior program. In addition to being on court with lessons and clinics, racquet maintenance and sales is a special hobby for Ryan. Ryan has been a racquet technician for twelve years and is a great resource for any string or racquet questions.

Will Thieman

Will Thieman has been teaching tennis around Columbus for the last 10 years. He graduated Upper Arlington in 2009, and Ohio Wesleyan in 2013. At Upper Arlington, he was captain his senior year, and led the Bears to 4 straight final four appearances. As for Ohio Wesleyan, he played #1 singles for 3 years, and graduated Cum Laude. He currently is the Upper Arlington Boys head tennis coach, and the Olentangy Liberty Girls head tennis coach. He’s helped each of those schools win state doubles titles. Will Thieman has also privately coached a few of the top juniors around Columbus.

Haley Dudon Schellin

Haley graduated from the University of Findlay where she played number 1/3 singles and doubles for 4 years. Haley was team captain and helped her team get to the GLIAC tournament for the first time in school history. She has been teaching tennis for over 10 years. Since 2006, Haley has worked at various clubs in the Dayton and Columbus area. From 2008-2010, she was the head tennis pro and manager at Miami Valley Golf Country Club in Dayton, OH. She also managed Woodhaven Swim and Tennis Club in Dayton, OH from 2012-2014. At both of these locations, Haley taught lessons, clinics, and private lessons to people of all ages. She also has experience with directing QuickStart programs in the Dayton and Columbus areas. Haley teaches tennis at Swim and Racquet Club during the summer. Email Haley at:
